Thermal Architecture titles a newly established Pennovation research lab directed by Dorit Aviv, Assistant Professor of Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania’s Weitzman School of Design. The lab's research focuses on the intersection of thermodynamics and architectural design, conveyed in the logo through shifting colors and connecting linear ribbons that mimic measured gradations in temperature and continuous flows of energy.
